OUTCOME OF MULTIDISCIPLINARY MANAGEMENT OF PLACENTAACCRETA SPECTRUM OVER ONE YEAR IN MINIA UNIVERSITYMATERNITY HOSPITAL IN UPPER EGYPT (A PROSPECTIVE STUDY)

Abstract

Methods: This prospective observational study was conducted in MUMH during the period from January to December 2021. All patients with placenta previa and suspected accreta changes during the study period were recruited in the study. Patients subjected to this MD approach were compared to those who were managed in emergency regarding different outcome measures (surgical outcome, morbidity, mortality, ICU admission and massive blood transfusion). These outcome measures were also compared between those proved to have accreta and those who proved not to have accreta during surgery.Demographic, clinical data of patients, follow up data and outcome data were collected, tabulated, and statistically analyzed using SPSS software program (version 20), Chi-square test and student T tests.
